Avoiding
Workplace Violence
This 2-1/2 hour (half-day) O.S.H.A. approved workshop provides
basic information regarding Workplace Violence. It
is divided into two sections. During the first period, situations
leading to violence as well as identification of behaviors
that may lead to violence will be covered. The focus of
this workshop is to provide data helpful to the supervisor
or co-worker in recognizing inappropriate behaviors and
becoming aware of actions designed to diffuse tense situations
before they escalate into violence. The second period is
devoted to techniques and methods useful to reduce stress
through behavior modifications. Both periods have been designed
to assist in improving the atmosphere, effectiveness and
safety of the workplace. |

the workplace. There

the participants to manage anger and appropriately respond
to the irritating situation or challenge.
Participants will leave this workshop equipped with
a personal “toolbox” filled with stress-reducing techniques. |

for all people it most often is divisive and counterproductive.

will better understand and deal with conflict situations
in the future. There

is an integral part of this workshop. |
